Among the red-staters, only heard of Buttigieg and Castro, and never understood Castro hype.

He's from Central Brooklyn, which is now the black political power base in New York City. I could see him either running for Senate in 2022 if Schumer retires, or if criminal justice reform gets passed into law soon, he could be a presidential contender in the 2020s. I don't see him running against Mayor De Blasio for mayor in 2017.
