Firstly, apologies to Mongrovejo for deleting all the good content he had added - and to the rest of the contributors.

Secondly, Dave said there was a chance the thread had been cached by a search-engine. It hasn't been by the major ones, but are there any search engines specialized in politics/elections where it might be?

Thats a big part of it, yes. Thanks! But there were a bit more from the election day and most of Mongrovejos contributions would be on page 3 (covering September 5 to election day), which seems not to be there.

Well, Dave recommended we tried to reconstruct it. I have made a document of the posts you got and will make a pdf-file, but lets see if someone has/or can find post 50-74.
