Title: A running mate for Bernie
Post by: TPL99 on June 10, 2015, 05:30:32 PM
I think in three scenarios:

1st: He catch the Dem nomination and choose a Progressive;
2nd: He catch the Dem nomination and choose a Liberal;
3rd: He run as Independent;

Who would be running mate in these three scenarios?

I believe, under any scenario, Sanders would pick a progressive black woman as a running mate.

I have been saying that Congresswoman Donna Edwards of Maryland would be a good pick for him.

She is well educated, politically experienced, and an activist.

Although if he ran as an Independent, Donna Edwards would not run against the Democratic ticket.

He's not running as an Indepenent.

Cory Booker would appeal to younger voters.
Amy Klobuchar is a qualified woman who isn't too old or young or from the northeast.
Hilda Solis is a hispanic woman who served in the Obama cabinet.

Though when I said he wasn't running as an independent, he's not going to be the nominee either.

I could definitely see a Sanders-Klobucher ticket.

No one with presidential ambitions would want to be on his ticket. I imagine he'd end up picking a minority Congressman with a following, like Luis Gutierrez.

Shouldn't it be a governor to have executive balance?

What governor would want to be on his ticket? What governor would he want on his ticket?

I want OMalley to be Clinton VP.

But, Sanders would be the one that would take a chance and pick a woman or a black male. Holis or Booker.
