This race is a dead heat, and anyone who says otherwise is a heathen.

This, though I'm giving Ernst a slight lead.

Not bad, Ernst is probably losing now.

Even in a Rass poll Bill Buckley can't lead

Yup, Braley unsurprisingly has the momentum here. Looking like Ernst may have peaked too soon. It doesn't hurt that that entire Iowa local press has been hammering her mercilessly for the past week after she decided to declare victory two weeks early and essentially stop campaigning.

So wait, did this race actually feature both candidates fatally bungling their campaigns?

Braley and Ernst are the Romeo and Juliet of our time.

A tossup with a slight R lean remains a tossup with a slight R lean. Shocker. I must be a heathen for saying that.

Slight edge Ernst. A Braley win on Election Day wouldn't shock me. Unlike Colorado, Iowa Early Voting has favored the Democrat.

I think Ernst refusing to do local interviews had less to do with declaring victory and more to do with her advisers not wanting her to get in these long newspaper board policy discussions.

Honestly, if she gets drawn out more on some of her 'gun protecting herself from the government' views, it could seriously damage her chances to win.

That crap works for Steve King up he doesn't run state wide
