What is your view on Myrth York and Charles Fogarty? I don't think their losses made a difference. Title: Re: RI-Rasmussen: Raimondo+5 Post by: ElectionsGuy on September 30, 2014, 04:22:44 PM Rhode Island governor's races always are interesting. There's a huge difference between national and statewide politics there, like in Kentucky.

The Democratic Party in Rhode Island is strange, it seems like a lot of "Republicans" run as Democrats, so the state-wide party is a little more conservative than one would think. By the way, would Fung be the first Asian-American Governor in New England? But since the conservatives are all part of the Democratic Party, why do Fung and Aiona even have a prayer? To be fair, it's not like Hawaii Democrats put up Mike Gabbard or Ed Case. There's a pretty big difference between Aiona and Ige (Ige isn't as progressive as Abercrombie, but is still Liberal). Normally alot of the DINOs are found in the State Legislature; Donna Mercado Kim is a good example of one. I'd say the Republicans in Hawaii are worse off than the ones in Rhode Island, too.
