The survey of 750 Likely Voters in South Carolina was conducted on August 25-26, 2014 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 4 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. The economy is doing better and there are no scandals of note out there.It looks like at this point Ervin is primarily winning votes from Democrats hoping he could beat Haley, but I don't see that lasting until November.

How do you figure? South Carolina is quite a conservative state, and its right-to-work law has attracted manufacturers to the state. It sounds to me like coming out against right-to-work would worsen Shaheen's chances, not make them better.
