Title: SD-Nielson Brothers Polling: Mike Rounds' lead cut in half, still leads by 15
Post by: Tender Branson on October 19, 2013, 09:54:32 AM
50% Mike Rounds (R)
35% Rick Weiland (D)

... a 15-point lead compared to a 27-point lead in the group's June survey.

The poll comes on the heels of a poll released this week by Public Policy Polling, contracted by Weiland's campaign, that found 40 percent of registered voters would vote for Rounds, 34 percent for Weiland and 11 percent for Libertarian Kurt Evans.

The survey was conducted Oct. 2-6 and interviewed about 800 likely voters in South Dakota (total respondents varied by question).

They polled the 2012 Pres. race in SD.

Their last poll was R+12, Romney won by 18.

They were more accurate in the House race though:

They polled Noem+13, Noem won by 14.

Well, it's probably more accurate than the poll from PPP.

"Asked whether Noem deserves to be re-elected, 45.9 percent said no, 39.2 percent said yes, and 14.9 percent were undecided."

This is interesting.

Mike Rounds is a corrupt bastard, but he's the one leading by 15.

I'm not even talking about that. I'm talking about Daschle deciding to go the crony route and endorse his longtime friend for Senate instead of the candidate who would actually, I don't know... hold the goddamn seat? (http://www.politico.com/story/2013/05/harry-reid-tom-daschle-south-dakota-senate-91646.html) Sounds like corruption to me.

Is the Libertarian Party really so desperate that they are fielding a candidate with a history of withdrawing at the last minute and endorsing the Republican candidate?

Damn....we probably could've made this rather competitive if we nominated SHS or Johnson jnr. Anyway to say  you to Daschele and convince one of those guys to run?

Looks like Rounds is more of a Johanns than a Hoeven, but he still should win anyway. His polling is softer than I would've imagined, mind you.

Yes, completely, Dashle destroyed all our chances!
