Title: After Clinton and Obama, who is the next torch bearer for the Democrats? Post by: Joe Biden 2020 on July 13, 2013, 06:35:04 PM Is it someone like Liz Warner, Gillibrand, or McCaskill or is it someone we barely hear of?

It's just crazy to predict who before then if Hillary runs (and wins and runs for re-election). Maybe someone Hispanic or gay, or both. Post by: Joe Biden 2020 on July 13, 2013, 06:45:07 PM I've got a feeling it may be someone like Mayor Julian Castro of San Antonio. He's a young Latino and would do very well as the torch bearer for the Democrats. Not to mention, he's the mayor of one of the largest cities in the country. That can't hurt him.

It won't be hard for him to become a Senator, even in Texas. Title: Re: After Clinton and Obama, who is the next torch bearer for the Democrats? Post by: Beet on July 13, 2013, 07:04:40 PM Maybe there will be no star. Maybe we will just have a line up of mediocres while the GOP is in power. It's not like that hasn't happened before (see 1980's).
