Since I've been here for over a year and have made 1000 posts, I decided to do an AMA just because I was kind of curious what kind of questions people what ask me.

I have not been to an emo or hardcore show. I do not listen to hardcore bands such as the ones you mentioned so I don't have a strong opinion on them either way.

Do you support or oppose Canada's current ban on foreigners buying real estate?

Support. Foreign capital being injected into our housing market is an issue when we don't have enough supply and a lot of money laundering is associated with it that results in home prices being inflated.

Where is the best place, in your opinion, for a foreigner to visit in Canada?

Banff National Park, IMO. The natural beauty is unparalleled compared to other places.

I used to say New Hampshire, but I've heard that apparently it has a drug problem, so I'll say Utah instead.

How many seats will Conservatives win next election?

- Who is the Last Republican Nominee you would prefer over the Conservative Party Leader at that time. For example this time it would be Trump vs Poilievre and in 2000 it would be Bush vs Day/Clark.

How many seats will Conservatives win next election?

According to  338 Canada, the forecast is anywhere from 192 to 238 seats, with the most likely number being 220. Any seat number in this range would result in a clear majority government.

With that said, it depends on how many swing ridings the CPC wins in the country's largest urban areas (Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver metros). There are a lot of toss-up LPC/CPC ridings up for brags (Scarborough-Agincourt, Ottawa West-Nepean, etc) so if the CPC campaigns extensively in those areas, that is their best chance of winning. There are some NDP seats the CPC could steal in rust belt Ontario (Sudbury, Hamilton Mountain) as well as some BQ/LPC seats in the Quebec City area, but that will likely have less of an effect compared to the major metro areas.

- Who is the Last Republican Nominee you would prefer over the Conservative Party Leader at that time. For example this time it would be Trump vs Poilievre and in 2000 it would be Bush vs Day/Clark.  

It depends on if we compare PC leaders to GOP nominees vs Reform leaders to GOP nominees. I am assuming here you are asking about them as leaders/nominees, so we are ignoring how they governed.

For PC leaders, I think I would prefer George W Bush in 2000 over Joe Clark in 2000. George W Bush was able to put the divisions in the GOP aside, unite the party and win on a pragmatic platform (his last name may have helped him, but he was still a decent human being as a nominee). Joe Clark delayed a potential Conservative victory at the federal level by opposing a Reform-PC merger, due to his resentful fear-mongering and nostalgia for a bygone era.

If we are comparing Reform leaders to GOP nominees, that's a bit harder in my view. I have areas of agreement with Stockwell Day on issues like economic/trade policy and reforming the Senate but 1) his plans were far too ambitious for the risk-averse, moderate Canadian voter and 2) his personal views on certain social issues were a little bit bizarre (for example, he was a creationist and believed dinosaurs and humans walked the Earth at the same time). George W Bush, who was a successful pragmatist, looks much better in comparison. I definitely prefer Preston Manning to George HW Bush and Bob Dole, but Stockwell Day vs George W Bush is a hard one...but I will say George W Bush because as much as I agree with Stockwell Day on some things, I really can't stand creationists.

So that's my answer. George W Bush over Day/Clark.
