Weird dreams you've had involving politicians

I had a series of dreams I kept a record of in which I was a State Department official in the waning days of the Bush 43 Administration. In one of them, for some reason, I was transferred to work in Vice President Cheney's office and he was frustrated because staff weren't using their lunch discount cards and it was creating accounting problems. For some reason this was conveyed to me and another staffer during a meeting with House Republican Leadership.

I had a dream Ed Markey beat Joe Kennedy by about 6%.

I was in a virtual world, learning about the flaws of a high tech all-indoor socialist utopian experiment inhabited by halflings when I received an angry phone call from Gov. Mike DeWine about a youtube video I uploaded. I initially forgot about, but after Trump won the election I made an angry video implying the people of Kentucky were barely human or something. The video received 0 likes and 22 dislikes, and everyone was appalled about how awful I was to upload something like that. I uploaded it with my real name and even attached my phone number for some bizarre reason. I managed to apologize for the video and wiggle my way into a probably underserved government job.

Had a dream that Joe Biden was so old and frail that he was a pawn of his malicious Danish advisors, I was attending a small rally possibly in the south and was so horrified by the situation I thought about voting for Trump. However, when one of his advisors murdered Jill Biden and tried to get away with it, Joe Biden finally cast them aside. This dream was back at the beginning of the month.

The most recent dream involved Ohio electing the worst Republican governor in the nation in 2022, after voting for Trump in 2020. He defeated a Democrat whose last name starts with Z and was a thinner man with black hair. The governor kinda looks like Wisconsin Justice Daniel Kelly. The US is still dealing with national crises, and the Ohio state government completely refuses to cooperate with the Democrat controlled national government. The result is that Columbus essentially becomes a war zone with hundreds of deaths. The federal government demands the removal of the governor, but everyone in the line of succession is a right wing extremist for various reasons. In the end, the federal government overthrows the Ohio State government and installs a general as military governor.

I had a dream a couple weeks ago that I guess I wrote down. I was at the 2011 Ohio State Fair. The main attraction at the fair was a really old Senator from Ohio. He was a Republican and had white hair but didn't have a name and wasn't any actual politician. Anyway there was a pretty long line of kids who were waiting to sit on his lap like Santa Claus. The senator was holding a gun in his lap. He asked one of the kids who was sitting on his lap "will the senator come?" and the kid said yes. Then the senator asked the kid whether Santa Claus would come. Before the kid could say anything his older brother jumped in and said that no, Santa wouldn't be coming. The senator just chuckled.

Had 2 last night.

First one was that it came out that Bernie Sanders was lying about his age and he was actually 10 years younger than he claimed he was.

Second one, Trump was leading a Black Lives Matter march through my neighborhood. He had a BLM shirt on but the only marchers were about 100 Trump supporters in MAGA hats. Nobody was wearing a mask. Trump was selling some shirts and told me he had run out but I could get new ones from the police department.

Last night I had a really sick dream. Somehow I was working for the White House. I drove a car and Donald Trump took control over the car by hacking the board computer. He wanted to use the vehicle to drive over Barack Obama and kill him. I tried to gain back control to avoid an accident, but I remember hitting a police officer instead. Later I asked Trump what the heck is wrong with him and why he can't take the fact Obama is more popular than him. Also told him he'll never be beloved as Obama. Subsequently, he admitted to be a racist and he wanted to get rid of his predecessor. Then I told him a police officer was killed instead, and he just replied he issued a "strong executive order" for police officers and the dead officer was "now looking down and having a great day".

Roughly one year ago I had a dream where I was assisting at the last presidential debate between Trump and his Democratic opponent, which seems perfectly normal, except it had a few problems:

1) the Democratic candidate was Tulsi Gabbard (!)
2) the debate was live on an open stage in Genoa, Italy (!!!)

I'm not sure if that dream was in English or in Italian, which both would be weird, since it means either I was dreaming in a foreign language or I was dreaming American politicians speaking Italian.

Had a dream that Ruth Bader Ginsburg died. Had to check to make sure she was still alive after I woke up.

I once dreamed that the then-Mayor of my home town jumped out of the window in a giant mansion.

Another dream was that I met Theresa May and she desperately wanted to seduce me.

Then I dreamed about Tulsi Gabbard selling a book in a mall of my home town and me wanting to get a signature and picture with her since no US politician ever would come here.

I recently dreamed about killing both Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski with my boyfriend and hiding their bodies in a lake in a forest, and in spite of me thinking everything went perfect police was suspecting me.

I just realized I should talk to my therapist about this..

I had a dream where Biden was denied a majority of electoral votes by a Kasich 3rd party run. I woke up and Kasich had endorsed Biden.

A couple weeks ago, I had a dream about election night where Biden had gotten 289 electoral votes, though Arizona hadn't been called. I don't remember exactly how the math worked out, but I do remember Biden winning Pennsylvania and Trump winning Florida. New Jersey's 7th was one of the closest House races in the country, with Kean leading Malinowski by a few hundred votes.

Last night I had a dream Donald Trump died of natural causes by the end of September. Probably the dream came in light of RBG's passing. I remember Pence becoming president and praising Trump non-stop that he gave his life for the country. I also remember that this forum insisted Pence was absolutely doomed since he had no broad appeal and Biden would win a massive landslide while I, as absolute Biden hack, was the sole poster predicting a Pence victory as a result of sympathy votes. Then I woke up.

Yes..the most vivid dream is one I had about fifteen years ago, when I dreamt that I was camping in the Adirondacks. It was twilight and there was a blazing campfire...and sitting gazing into the fire was Tom Dewey. He was older, and his trademark mustache was grey. I remember asking him who would have been in his cabinet had he won in 1948. He said "McCain", interestingly. Technically, I suppose John McCain I or II could have easily served in a cabinet spot in his administration!

Had a dream last night that an NYT reporter came onto the forum (using a D-NY avatar) to ask questions to and about olawakandi, then put most of his life story and commentaries into a rural-diner-interview-style article that I was reading in the later part of my dream. As I recall, it heavily featured two conversations in particular: one about Ed Market and the other about the electoral effects of currently high unemployment.

Somehow the article also managed to solicit comments from GeneralMacArthur, RedEaglePolitics, and S019, but I can't remember what they said.

The other night I had a dream Biden won a 47 state landslide, losing AL, WY, and WV.

Nobody is going to care about this because it has nothing to do with US politics, but this is a dream I had some time ago after writing something about Argentina (btw I've never stepped a foot in that country and would've been about -10 years old at the time this takes place).

It was the early 90s (no idea which year, but the day was August 20ish) and President Carlos Menem promised to bring some left-wing leader back home from exile, which was followed by a military coup that installed Raúl Alfonsín as president. It's not actually that strange because it's basically a replay of something that really happened, just with different characters, except that I was watching the whole thing from the toilet. Before leaving, I found out that there was only one roll of toilet paper left and imagined Raúl's distinctly evil face, thinking "we'll have to spare this, he won't give us any". I then went to a petrol station with my dad, and I remember being in a hurry because the new government was going to declare martial law any minute. I was genuinely sad about the whole thing and I ended up at home, in the bathtub, trying not to cry over the coup and the fact that school holidays are almost over.

I had a horrible nightmare last night that for some reason there was a redo of FL-SEN in 2020, and Bill Nelson said he was "enjoying retirement too much" to run a campaign and Scott won by 4.
