How does a woman whose case has been before 19 judges, and has been comatose and brain-dead for decades warrent more attention?
Because it's about saving a human life.  There's a difference between brain-damaged and brain-dead by the way.

We would have saved a lot more than 1 life by not invading Iraq.

We actually saved many lives by invading Iraq, but you won't see past your myopia.  You would have been one of those people advocating peace with Hitler.

What a poor comparison - the attack on Iraq was much more similar to the Spanish-American war than the second world war.  It was nothing but a jingoistic/imperialistic land-grab for domestic political purposes.

Those of you who read and write liberal blogs try to turn any social issue into an economic issue because you know you have lost the debate on social issues.

What do you mean 'lost the debate'?  As in the majority votes for intolerance?  Yes I would agree with that.

I imagine what disturbs you, jfern and this blogger most is not that the Republicans won the debate on social issues last November, but that the Democratic leaders are tripping over themselves to "reach out" to social conservatives (Hillary being the most recent example).

Well obviously - we don't want to have two parties representing the hate-filled intolerant majority, and none for the sizable minority of Americans that are enlightened.

Did you hear the Republican caller who said he was switching parties because of this bill?

He finally realized which party was the bigger threat to freedom.  I doubt there are many left in the GOP to flee.
