I don't have a lot of hope for this one.

Handel will win.

Democrats really shouldn't have put so much into this race. If they lose, it'll be a big humiliation.

Ossoff probably wasn't the best candidate Dems could've chosen.

Sigh, care to tell us which was the best candidate?

Let me guess we should just run bernie-esque candidates across the board regardless of social/demographic profile?

That's not what I was thinking at all. Dems should have ran a candidate who isn't a 30 year old documentary filmmaker with no political experience.

Justin Trudeau was a local high school drama teacher...

You are aware that his father was a former infamous Prime Minister of Canada right? You're comparing apples to oranges here.

Justin Trudeau had also been an M.P for seven years before becoming Prime Minister.

And the leader of the liberal party.

I just look forward to the GOP trying to rub these victories in our faces even though these districts have been solid for decades and yet came within 1-2 points of flipping blue. It's like they are sitting in a burning building.

Funny how the GOP was trying to downplay the importance of these special elections earlier.

I found Karen Handel really unlikable during the debate. I kind of wish Ossoff won for that sole reason.

I just got here. Wtf happened in SC-05?

Ralph Norman (Republican)    51.2%   44,312
Archie Parnell (Democratic)    47.8%   41,404

Much closer than expected, might even be closer than Georgia's 6th.

Pelosi needs to GO like now she has been used in all of these specials and it seems to be effective.
I honestly can't believe people still fall for anti-Pelosi nonsense. She really needs to go.

Is it fair to say that if he looses tonight it's because Ossoff was a pussy who should've gone more negative?

Yes.

You might gain some that way, but you might also lose some.  I know some GA-6 voters who were attracted by his attempt to run a civil campaign, especially after all the negativity last year.

And we see how much that counted for.

It's time for Democrats to embrace GOP-style tactics of personal destruction. Stop being a bunch of pussies and do what it takes to win. The Obama 2012 campaign was a step in the right direction.
Yes Democrats need to go full Fox news in 2018. Make stuff up about the canidate in an ad and give a low profile apology.

Did you know the Scalise shooting was orchestrated by Handel to win this special election? LOCK HER UP!!
