I like the Senate system with 6 year terms and 1/3 being up for election every 2 years. But I'd prefer they only be able to hold office for one term.

Presidency I think would be better to have a single 6 year term.

House I am not sure on maybe 4 years with half being up for election every 2 years. Again, one term only.

Also, recalls are stupid. They totally defeat the purpose of having election terms in the first place.

It really depends on place and time - but I don't like the idea in British-style Westminister systems, of fixed terms.  I think that if anything 5 years is the max except for Presidential elections (and yearly elections for the same position is just nonsense).
Recalls make more sense in a checks and balances system as well.  Not so much in say, Britain.

That's a terrible idea.

I like two year terms, not too close to be annoyed by too many elections, not too far to want to vote for other candidates or reaffirm candidates.

Ironically, term limits are undemocratic (takes a choice away from voters)

The one term only idea is nice, but in practise (See: Mexico) is a disaster.

In the US you should do away with mid-terms and elect both Senators and representatives to four year terms in presidential years. Everyone being elected at the same time gives a decent chance of one party majority and efficient government. The checks and balances aspect is overdone in the US system.

I think the US should nix midterms, but have the House elected every four and only two classes of Senators every eight years. Recall available at any time (including for President).

Approximately every 4 years, but I don't really believe in fixed election dates
