Auto load on Youtube somehow got me to a 1 hr loop of John Denver's "Country Roads" but I am not going to complain. Took a while to notice and I was like, I don't remember this song being that long then I looked over to the Windows Seven Computer and was like oh, 1 hr loop.

Striking out?
Well count me in!
I'm gonna stand right by your side
Through thick or thin!

Ain't no doubt
Gonna Win
A walk through hell ain't bad
Compared to where we've been

Always puts a smile on my face.

Hard to find a consistent version of this song by Steve Goodman. Just a bunch of live performances with varying modifications.

I discovered this song thanks to a documentary from the early 1990s about trains in various films and the ending credits had this song playing. It was written by Goodman and then made famous by Arlo Guthrie, but I am partial to Goodman because of that documentary.

I was listening to this last night into the early morning hours and with the site being down and all of the panic on discord, I started to rewrite it beginning with the second half, and eventually worked backwards and rewrote the whole thing for the occasion:

Quote from: Excerpt From the End
But all the threads and people
seem to fade into a bad dream
And all the posters, they ain't heard the news
The moderator sings his song again,
The posters will please refrain
This site has to disappear in internet blues

Just a singing goodnight Atlasia, how are you?
Say don't you know me, I'm your native son
Yes I'm the poster they call North Carolina Yankee
And I'll have made 54,000 posts when the site is done
