David Duke is another one who thrives on attention.  Ignore him, and he'll go away.  Ignore him, and his money will dry up.

Duke is a guy who is, basically, an entertainer and a beggar.  His act is alt-right schtick, and he does it on his respective streetcorners for the benefit of folks on his mailing list.  It pays the bills, and the cadre of suckers that send him money get their money's worth in hate propaganda, so they are satisfied customers.

In no way are Duke and his supporters anywhere near mainstream.  If his goal was to hold office, Duke is a failure.  Before the internet, I used to call political reporters in Southern cities to see if they had a take on local elections.  A Louisiana reporter in the 1980s once suggested that Duke could win election to a Congressional District in Northern Louisiana, but he never tried for Congress until his "career" took a downturn.

If we want to make David Duke grow big, let's make him big.  Let's spread the word that he's where Hitler was in the days of the Weimar Republic.  He's not, of course, but if we keep giving him attention, he can be.

Stop giving the alt-right attention.
