What's the ToS? And would it matter if the user consented, considering that Ben would almost certainly consent to allow whoever hacked into his account to be quoted.

Due to a failure to provide the part in the ToS that states that one is not allowed to post PMs, I will repost the update. If Xahar provides it, then I will take it down. Plus, benconstine has consented, so voila:

Exhibit A:

Andy Jackson said that he was considering a run, but he never said it wasn't confidential.

Oh, yes. He's essentially an RPP member anyway; I've heard tell that you're considering backing him. I'll have to fix him before I can let him hold elective office.

Exhibit B:

Constine claims that he never sent me a PM, so you are my prime suspect, considering that you sent one just minutes after him.

Wait, what?

"Constine" sent me this two minutes before you PM'ed me:

In other elections-related news, this author personally knows of another SDP candidate who is considering a senate run.

You can tell a fellow RPP member, can't you?

I replied back to him, and four minutes later he replied back with this:

Well, that's odd. But weird things have happened with his account before. Remember when he changed back to being a Republican last month and claimed it wasn't him?

Also, here is exhibit C from another PM. I believe I had asked if Benconstine's account had been hacked, to which he replied:

If President Bgwah thinks this is sufficient evidence, I would suggest that he fire the attorney general immediately. However, that is his decision whether this is good evidence.

Where does it say that I am not allowed to post personal messages? I only see that you are allowed to contact a moderator if a Personal Message is objectionable.

As has been noted posting PM's without permission is against the rules, posts modified because of it.

Anyway, Ben's behavior has been erratic at times. That's all that's left to say about this.

In that case, I will wait for Jedi or Gustaf to edit my post.

For the record, I do not wish to accuse Xahar of anything. While I highly suspect that he hacked Ben's account, I think it would be infringing on my journalistic integrity to take a stand on this. Though, it would seem foolish to hack into one's account to send a PM to someone, then log back into your own account to send the same PM.

Um, isn't there some way for the forum administrators to get to the bottom of this?

I opened a thread in the Atlas board asking if they had archives of who's online in december 4 between 7:10 and 7:12 PM EST

Just realized that Xahar couldn't have known this unless he had either been hacking onto Brandon's website or had talked to Andy Jackson himself. I suspect the former.

Additional Thoughts about the Ben Hacking Case:

Since Xahar sent a PM 2 minutes after "Ben" sent a PM, for the Xahar theory to be true, he would have had to log out of Ben's account, oog back into his account, send a PM, log out of his account, and log back into Ben's account. This may make the probabilty that Xahar actually did it less likely.

I'm guessing Sensei is trying to represent the RPP and the SDP as retards, depsite both of our parties alone having several times more members than Sensei's Horse Party.

December Senate Elections Shaping to Be Uneventful
by South Park Conservative

With Sensei not standing for re-election, the December Senate elections are shaping up to be one of the least eventful elections in a while. Perhaps this trend started months ago, when there was only two candidates for President. The presence of only 5 candidates for a 5-person position this late in the game is surprisingly low. However, there are other potential candidates who might be interested in entering this race. As the whole hacking controversy has revealed, Former Lt. Gov of the Southeast Andy Jackson is considering a run, and would be likely to generate support from all three of the major Atlasian parties if he ran. There have been rumors of Judge TCash and Former President Mr. Moderate running, but they have yet to validate such rumors. In the event that no other candidates enter the race and none of the potential candidates run, this author will consider embarking on a run to make the election interesting.

Update?  I could use a good news story

Sorry. In the interest of neutrality, I have halted updates until next week. Feel free to post an article yourself, if you wish. I have opened a poll about the possibility of a constitutional convention, though.

Ben Steps Down as Gov, Afleitch Takes Over, Xahar Withdraws
by South Park Conservative

Due to the revelation that Ben opened a second account under the name "Populist", Mideast Governor BenConstine resigned today, sparing the Mideast an embarrasing controversy. Due to this Lt. Gov. Afleitch will now be the new Governor of the Mideast. We wish him well. However, Attorney General and Senate candidate Xahar has announced that he will be pressing charges against the now-former Governor for voter fraud.

EDIT: Due to AG Xahar's prosecution of the Benconstine case, he has withdrawn from the Senate race and endorsed write-in candidate Franzl.
