Not following on Atlas, just watching on TV. Expecting nonsense.

Doing the opposite, still expecting nonsense.

Debate is boring with the muted mics.

This means no change in the race.

This means Biden wins.
Early voting in Florida already shows that Republicans are doing better than expected, but sure, Biden is safe.

You do realize a lot of seniors use early/absentee in Florida right? Florida's not a state that usually has a massive D advantage with this.

You do realize polls before showed Democrats having a massive advantage in early voting (not just VBM) right?
We better hope this is a fluke and the polls weren’t off, or else the implications elsewhere could be massive.

Yes, every single election Dems are ahead in Florida's early/absentee vote at first and then Republicans catch up as older voters start voting. Something I've notice in the decades of living in Florida and giving it more attention than other states.

The new format is helping Trump.

He doesn’t have a chance to look like a mean spirited fool.

I think expectations were so low for Trump after the last debate that this time he looks “better.”

Except people actually care about the content of what's being said, and not how much Trump is behaving.

The bedwetting is getting insufferable.

Is this actually a debate... with both sides letting the other side talk?

This is what it looks like when you don't have spineless garbage moderators who refuse to enforce any sort of standards or rules.

Is Trump really pulling the "science is a liar sometimes" argument?

We have to weigh the cost to our economy and ability to maintain a decent standard of living. We can't shut down like a iron box as that will lead to more pain and suffering.

Having a decent standard of living requires being alive. A lot of people aren't being afforded that luxury by letting the virus run rampant.

This is the most fluent speaking performance by Trump since he started running for President.

Trump will probably close the gap in the polls for this debate. He was awesome!

But I thought debate performance doesn't matter to electoral chances, as much as Hillary winning the debate has been brought up.

Trump mocking Biden for talking about the concerns of regular middle-class people.

Great look!

We can probably add "coastal elitist" to the list of Republican projections.

I’m going to bet that to the clueless swing voter at home Trump is winning this debate by a home run.

There are no swing voters watching at this point.

I love how there were people on this forum, who follow politics religiously, who somehow still thought Trump would do well tonight.

2016 PTSD.

But even then, he never did well in the debates!

Trump does poorly in the debate: "Debates don't matter, Trump will still win"
Trump does less poorly than expected: "Trump will win the debate, the debate means everything"

Finally, someone else takes a cue from my "the stock market is not the economy" dogma!

Officially change my Biden vote from "against Trump" to "for Biden" because I've been waiting YEARS for somebody to call Republicans out on this.

To the people saying he won because of his early performance, if anything that will make everything that followed INFINITELY worse in comparison.

My worry is that low information swing voters will view this as a draw.  Or maybe even a Trump win.

Doubtful after his racist comments.

Trump’s made racist comments his entire life and these idiots won’t leave him.

He got pretty blatant on a televised debate two weeks before the election at a time his admin is under increased scrutiny for such.  And his comments on family separation go well beyond breaking basic human decency than anything he's said prior.

"No you see the polls are wrong Trump actually won the debate because he as 0.001% less of an incoherent maniac than before etc etc"

Hopefully this will be the last "Trump bump" theory we see
