He will resign as chairman of the Republican Governors Association but will remain governor.

Family Values my ass!!!


Did Sanford ever really campaign on "Family Values?" He always came across as more focused on his libertarian streak.

By the way, I do think he ought to resign only because he left the state without letting a damn person know. There is no excuse for that.

Strongly against Gay Marriage and Gay adoption as well

I may be a social conservative But i'll stay on Sanford's and Ensign's side. Just like I defended Fossella.

 

The question is what are your thoughts on Sanford not being in touch with anyone, and having no one know where he actually was?

The bigger issue than the affair itself is the fact he completely disappeared and no one knew where he was.  Which is something you just can't do as a sitting Gov.
