That's the same Twitter account that gives "assessments" like these though:

Are we sure that's not just Woodbury's own twitter account? Sounds an awful lot like him.

"Serious" Russia Hack Twitter Account Formula

1. Profile picture of some White Army officer/Tsarist official
2. Some witty, interesting name "Big Serge" or "Baron of the Taiga"
3. "Russia will never invade Ukraine", "Russia is invading Ukraine because of NATO", "Russia will take Kiev in 6 days", "Ukraine is losing the war", "Ukraine will never take back Izyum", "Ukraine will never take back Kherson"
4. Massive, historic amounts of cope when Russia is losing, claims of massive success of mobilization based on cope
5. Underlying layer of senseless ultranationalism that is revealed with a slight scratch

Note: Baron of the Taiga blocked me that is very amusing.

Hearing rumors that Belarus may join in the invasion soon.  If so, sounds like it'd be a massive blunder.  I would expect that the army would get bogged down real quick, and in the end it would just lead to regime change in Belarus.

That being said, in the short term it would take the heat off of Ukraine's offensives, which I guess is all Russia can ask for.

I cannot imagine that Lukashenka would actually send in troops at this point. I know he plays the fool, but he really is not that stupid. A non-negligible amount of Belarusian soldiers would immediately surrender (or switch sides) and those that chose to fight would be routed.

I think the Belarusian opposition has been waiting for Lukashenka to get involved militarily to make a move against his regime. At that point, you'd have a ridiculously unpopular war and the dictator would be unprotected by his own military or the distracted Russians. I think he knows this all too well which is why he hasn't sent in his own military. If Belarus was ever going to send in its military, it would have been at the beginning when people were thinking this thing would be over in a week—not now, when it is, at best, a quagmire for Russia.

Except it's not an empire anymore. It is more akin to a xenophobic racist tribe.

They’re 21st century barbarians.

Hasn't that rumor been around since the start of the war? I don't think Lukaschnka is stupid enough to do that, though his puppet master Putin pressure him into it.

Does Belarus even have a significant military and trained personell? Or would they just be sent to die in battle?

If you think that is bad, try the mass grave video filmed by a Russian soldier in Kupyansk (pre-liberation) as they were rolling bodies into the hole, and seems that when the body hit, another body shifted their head / reacted, indicating they were being buried alive.

This is the stuff of nightmares

Just Nazi stuff. Period. The Russian Federation should be illegal. Putinism is a crime. Anyone who supports this should be in prison or a mental institution.

Once again Russia has escalated the war they illegally started, and done so by inflicting massive damage on civilians.  But when Ukraine defends himself, a bunch of idiots will say that Ukraine is the warmongering country keeping the war going.  And when Putin once again saber-rattles with nuclear weapons, they'll say it's America and Ukraine's fault for not surrendering (a.k.a. "accepting Putin's peace terms").

India, which has walked a middle path between Russia and Ukraine urging a negotiated end to the war, said it was “deeply concerned at the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, including targeting of infrastructure and deaths of civilians.” India’s foreign ministry called for an “immediate cessation of hostilities” and offered help to “support all such efforts aimed at de-escalation.”

China called for a de-escalation of the fighting in Ukraine, repeating its position that the sovereignty of all countries should be respected without criticizing Russia for invading its neighbor.

Guys, if you are serious, as opposed to just wasting bandwidth, you know what to do. Cut way back on your oil purchases from Putin to defund the terrorist organization.

This does not compute.  I you read the statements from India and PRC both are saying
a) We are not taking sides in this
b) We want the fighting to stop ASAP

So an active way to action this view would be
a) Stop buying Russian oil which funds the Russian war machine like you suggested
AND
b) Demand the collective West stop military and economic aid to Ukraine which drives the Ukraine war machine

If it were to do one it would have to do the other or else it would not be "We are not taking sides"

It sees both are taking the passive version
a) Asking for peace talks to start without preconditions ASAP
b) Continue doing what is in the best interests for the two powers which is to continue to buy Russian energy on the cheap.  And at the same time continue economic transactions with Ukraine.

Well, when you're going for the high road deploying suicide bombers isn't probably the brightest idea to court public opinion.

I'm not sure what to say this other than lobbing rockets at cities won't "dismantle Ukraine's political regime". If anything, it will bolster already incredibly high public support for Zelensky and the government.

It's really sickening how certifiable retards like Elon Musk and certain posters on this forum still think that if only we held a referendum in Ukraine, we'd see that ackshually the annexed regions want to be part of Russia all along, and everyone else is just too dumb and ignorant to understand this.  Look at these videos of people suffering while Russia indiscriminately bombs Ukrainian civilian population centers and infrastructure, for no other reason other than to soothe Putin's ego.  Do you really think these people are in favor of this?  That they want to join Russia?  What, because 55% of them voted for a pro-Russia candidate a decade ago?

Of course if Russia heard that such a referendum was to occur they would only accelerate the mass-murders, kidnapping and deportation they've been undertaking in the occupied regions, to try and thin the population of Ukrainians out, while simultaneously moving tons of Russians into those regions, so they can try and shift the vote Bleeding-Kansas-style.  But the Putin cocksuckers are OK with this because they don't see Ukrainians as real people.

The other ridiculous thing about the "referendum for peace" idea is how lopsided it is.  If Ukraine loses the referendum, they lose enormous amounts of vital territory in the east of their country.  If Russia loses the referendum, nothing happens, they just get to return to the pre-war status quo with zero consequences for waging a brutal and unprovoked war of territorial expansion to try and conquer a people who, as it turns out, really didn't want to be conquered.

America's results for Canada would probably be pretty similar today.

If Canada were to invade and conquer all of Michigan, and then a few years later launch a full-scale invasion and conquest of New England, indiscriminately slaughter civilians, kidnap children and deport their parents to Yukon, rain missiles on Cleveland and Washington D.C., give a bunch of speeches about how Americans are animals who have no right to exist, and then threaten to start a nuclear war if we didn't surrender the entire country, my guess is America's opinion of Canada would decline quite substantially!
