https://www.yahoo.com/news/california-judge-ordered-oans-parent-155201005.html

Quote
A California judge ordered Herring Networks, the parent company of the far-right cable news outlet One America News, to pay $250,000 in legal fees to Rachel Maddow and MSNBC's following its failed defamation suit against them in 2019, according to a report from Law&Crime.

Quote
A judge decided against Herring Networks, ruling there was "no set of facts that could support a claim for defamation."

Maybe a good way to bankrupt them

The good news keeps coming. Not tired of winning yet, though!

OAN seems to have some pretty incompetent attorneys on the payroll. Why would they file a lawsuit like this in CA, where there are anti-SLAPP laws on the books? At least Bob Murray's lawyers had the wherewithal to file his suits in WV.

I'm noticing that no one here was this celebratory when Nick Sandmann won his lawsuit for being defamed.

Just sayin'.

In this particular case, the good guys won.  In your case, it was a Trump supporter.  Smiley

An 18 year old kid gets ganged up on by the entire media and social media world over a falsehood, and all because of a hat he wore.  Not because of anything he did.

I don't begrudge Maddow a legitimate victory.  That people would begrudge Sandmann the same represents a sense of injustice that is frightening.  "Only people that agree with me deserve justice!".  Is that the Talk Elections Motto these days?

Why would you say something so matter-of-factly that's so easily, provably false?

He feels like it’s true, and that’s what really matters.
