No.  It wasn't worth this level of bloodshed. The one legitimate reason for attacking Iraq is that Saddam allegedly tried to have Bush Sr. "whacked". That definitely warrants a reaction, assuming it is in fact true. However, there were less bloody means available for making that happen. One, congress has the constitutional authority to grant a letter of Marque and Reprisal. In a nutshell that means hiring a hitman to "Whack" Saddam.
A second approach would be to simultaneously bomb all of Saddam's palaces. Either way that should have been done during the Clinton administration.
