Illinois: Bill Foster.  The senate could use a physicist
New Hampshire.  Former Governor John Lynch is probably a much stronger choice than Maggie Hassan.  Hassan was only reelected by 5%.  To be sure in a Republican year and against a strong candidate.

Lynch won by 8 in 2010, against a guy that wasn't getting pimped by every 2016 Republican presidential contender under the sun.

Thanks I was not aware of that.

2010 was an even stronger Republican year than 2014, so I don't know how much to read into that.

Lynch had been twice reelected with around 70% of the vote in 2006 and 2008.  I believe he also left office with very high popularity.

I think both him and Hassan would be very strong candidates. I'm just saying you can't really hold her 2014 margin against her without holding Lynch's 2010 margin against him.
