It's remarkable how much bigger news this was originally than the correction.

If it was any other topic than North Korea, it would be a huge scandal that CNN, AP, WaPo, etc. got such a huge story flat out wrong, and there would be massive retractions, apologies, demands for resignations, etc.

The blame lies more with the South Korean newspaper than the US outlets that just reposted the story, imo.
