Ugh Democrats really need to be the one to kick him out. I’m sure it’ll be overly bipartisan, but I feel it’d be better for the democrats to show they are drawing the hardline

Better them than no one.

Bad (or sick) guy.

Scratch this one off for 2024/2028.

I don't recall Cuomo ever saying he was interested in running for President (if he was, wouldn't he have run in 2016 or 2020?)

A lot of people (myself included) saw him as a potential frontrunner for the democratic nomination in 2024 if Trump won re-election.

Of course Trump didn't win, and now Cuomo will never become president (and I'm perfectly fine with that!).

At this point it's probably safe to say he won't be withdrawing from the 2022 race either. Can't wait to see his butt handed to him XD.

Or maybe he'll still win for all we know.

Instead of Governor Hochul, James, Bellone or Suozzi, why not

Governor Hillary Rodham Clinton?

Well it's a good thing you live in New Jersey

Well he's still got some supporters left, that's for sure.

These are probably the same people who reply with some "bUt mUh TrUmP" BS when you tweet about Cuomo's stuff.

So, is Hochul the first female Governor of New York?

Yes

A vacancy in the LG office could very well be an opportunity for Max Rose or Anthony Brindisi to make a comeback, as Hochul did after her half-term. Unlike in their house seats, their only worries would be in a primary.

dammit, this means Yang is going to go for it.

Lt. Gov. Andrew Yang?

God help the state of New York. At least DJT Jr would certainly lose. But we don't need this.

Andrew Giuliani has been laughed out of every room over these past few months and couldn't muster support from so much as a county chair. He is a rare breed - too stupid to make it in politics even with a recognizable name, which is not to suggest that anyone takes his father particularly seriously anymore.

Doesn't help his last name is practically cursed now too, especially considering Rudy's approvals are probably almost Dick Cheney 2008 levels now.

So we've got the frontrunner in next year's race.

We may also get some comic relief:

Wouldn't Yang be an even bigger comic relief, even if he goes for LG instead?

I've said it on one thread and I'll say it again here:

This is Hochul's race to lose.

Just for laughs, I decided to check out the 2014 Maryland predictions here, and wow...

A whopping two people had Larry Hogan winning, look what happened.

Not to mention, most people had Maryland as strong D in their confidence rating. Once again, look what happened.

For our Atlas vets here, what was the reaction like on here when Hogan won?

You think Zeldin will win?

I'll be bold and put this race as tossup/lean D. I think Hochul will pull it off in the end as of now, but I think there's a serious shot of a massive upset.

Sure Zeldin may not win by as much as Hogan did in 2014 (if Zeldin even wins at all), but the possibility is severely underrated in my opinion. Hell, look at New Jersey last year. I don't think that many people here (or at least the vocal ones) expected it to be as close as it was.

Not the best strategy when you’re losing your grip as a deep blue state incumbent, but I admire her confidence.

I wonder if there’s already a mod for this race?
