I really hate the Patriot Act......we none of us Patriots before it existed?

Some of us more than others.

In your view are there more now that we have a Patriot Act?

I don't think the name has anything to do with that.

It seems to have done nothing more than foster greater hatred of the government.

Care to dispute or explain the numbers in the initial post ?

You do realize 5 thwarted terror attacks could mean 1,000,000 people saved right?

Where does it say 5 terror attacks were thwarted?   Where does it say 1 was?

There is no demonstrable proof it has or hasn't prevented anything......therefore, I prefer greater freedom (which no one claims the Patriot Act gives us) even if it means being a lil less safe.

By giving up our freedoms we have given the terrorists what they wanted. I'd rather die a free man than give up liberty just to live a few more years.

How exactly have we "given up our freedoms?"

I'm glad Title II of it doesn't phase you........

Or the National Security Letters in Title V
