Huckabee: amend Constitution to meet "God's standards"

"[Some of my opponents] do not want to change the Constitution, but I believe it's a lot easier to change the constitution than it would be to change the word of the living God, and that's what we need to do is to amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards."


Would those be God's standards as exegeted by...

Mike Huckabee?
Pat Robertson?
James Dobson?
Rod Parsley?
Gary North?

See, the problem is not with what the Bible says.  The problem is that various sets of human beings believe they know what it means and how it should be applied in the 21st century. (Hint:  Typically against those who sin "differently" than they do!)

Our founding fathers understood the danger inherent in that.  But of course, the Inquisition, the Salem witch hunt and the persecutions of Baptists and Quakers might have been fresher in their memories.

Way to go, Huck.  Keep moving us down that dark road.
