The R candidate Joe May is an old school moderate to liberal GOPer but given that the 33rd was already Democratic-leaning before the Republican collapse in NoVa, I'd rate this as safe D.

The R candidate Joe May is an old school moderate to liberal GOPer but given that the 33rd was already Democratic-leaning before the Republican collapse in NoVa, I'd rate this as safe D.

As usual - good Republican candidates in unwinnable districts, bad - vice versa. The same is frequently true for Democrats too - "ideologues" in good districts, moderates - in very difficult...
