So what happens if Parnell wins and Ossoff loses?  Do we just shut everything down?

No, it just means the entire strategy of the dems is wrong.

Was Parnell's strategy really that different from Ossoff?

It's suburban vs rural, not in terms of messaging.

WTF Atlas. Early vote drops for Fulton and Ossoff down 1: its all over for Ossoff, why did Dems waste money, nothing is good. 3% of precincts from a Dem county and the dem-leaning early vote in in SC: Dems win, strategy wrong, rurals for life?

I wonder why I even bother to sign up here in the first place.

Every moment of election night is an eternity.

SC-05...the margins are insane. Trump won Kershaw county by 25% and Norman is only leading by 2%

Parnell back in the lead!

And that's with 2/3 of Kernshaw ED reporting...either way the margin is not going to be as high as the 2016 presidential.

Massive swing to the Democrats in SC 05. That's pretty amazing.

This might be a confirmation of your timeline in some ways.

The swing maps in the SC-05 election will be arousing very informative.

Why are the DDhq and NYT result reversed for SC-05?

I said it once: either ddhq or nyt are lying.

About this whole 'chuck Pelosi to the curb' thing, you people do realise any other house leader would be just as demonised and hated by Republicans as Pelosi is?

Her current hatred has had years to build up. In the dems current situation, it would be best to cycle through minority leaders every few years to prevent that kind of build up.

Really depressed turnout caused a Halloween scare for Norman.

Worst part of a Handle victory (besides the inevitable obnoxious Trump tweets) would be Republicans in Congress feeling far more confident about going through with Ocare repeal. Everything else is secondary - still nothing to suggest anything but a positive environment for Dems and morale may dip for a little while but rebound soon enough.

For me that would be the best part ...

Of course you say that

I mean, Trump just gets stronger and stronger and you only get more helpless and helpless. It's just...so magical!

Again, I'm sensing a *ahem* not wholesome pleasure in your words.

2018: Next year you'll guys really have it!
2020: We're gonna get the House next year. Trump's reelection means nothing. NOTHING.
2022: First they came for the Bad Hombres. Now they're gonna come for me. I swear!

*grunt* *grunt* yeah round up those dirty liberals *grunt* *grunt* burn all the cities to the ground

Democrats best opportunities are in suburban districts with a lot of moderates. The map is what it is.

The map is not carved into stone.

On the whole, you're right, but he did get crossover vote, it just wasn't enough.
