Since when does the federal government have the authority to regulate state law enforcement administrative agencies?

The federal government can override the state government. State governments are inferior to federal government by their design. I fail to see why that doesn't apply here.

Article II Section 3? States are divisions of regional governments, which are sovereign.

Historically speaking, federal gov't has regulated these agencies via placing conditions on federal funding.

Only on areas in which the Federal Gov't is granted the primary role though.

I am thinking the best path would be to amend this to use the conditioned funding approach, as well as a more direct directive aimed at Federal law enforcement agencies that are directly within our purview. That should address the concerns with federal powers being over stepped.

I would be in favor of that amendment.

Earliest I could compose something would be Tuesday at this point.

Sorry for the delays here, Thursday and Friday at work were just brutally exhausting with the new processes recently instituted and the stuff they had me doing.

This hopefully corrects the above stated issues with federalism and ability to directly control state and local law enforcement agencies, while still achieving the desired aim of the bill itself. That being said, I am not personally fond of leveraging money constantly as a way to exert control over a local situation, it is however the preferred option legally speaking in situations such as this as opposed to outright dictating to them regardless of federalist concerns.
