If it's referring to the Presidential race, my money is on Biden.

I bet it's a House race, though. Just trying to fuel speculation.

Menendez would be an interesting possibility.
If this blew up enough, could he potentially lose? I think it's safe to say if this is Nelson, Brown, or Tester, they'll more than likely lose.

Well, it's perhaps more relevant that if it is Menendez and he was forced out, Christie would get to appoint.  And apparently under NJ law the appointee serves out the term?

Yeah. Menendez, if it is him, will probably still win, and if he ends up resigning it's anybody's guess. We could get an appointed Republican for five and a half years in New Jersey (in which case I really hope it's LoBiondo, one of the few New Jersey Republicans for whom I have respect along with Christie himself and Smith some but not all of the time). Christie could also appoint a Democrat as a gratis to the choice of the voters. We shall see.
Christie has some Presidential ambitions, so I don't see him appointing a Democrat, especially if this seat decides who has the majority, which it very well could. If he does appoint, my money would be on Guadagno. Or who knows, maybe he'll appoint himself?

Haha, I like what I've started here. By the end of the night, everyone on this forum is going to be hating Menendez. Wink

I'm pretty sure underage Dominican hookers would be enough for Senator Joe Kyrillos. I wonder if this story was actually suppressed until now -- timing seems perfect. Long enough for everyone in NJ to hear about this, but not long enough for the reversion to the mean to take place.
No, now isn't a good time, due to the unfortunate tragedies of Hurricane Sandy. A better time would have been a week ago - with the hurricane occurring, Menendez wouldn't have had time anyways to recover.

My first claim to fame this election cycle was Mitt Romney winning the nomination, as I was one of the few who didn't jump from ship to ship, but stuck with him throughout the roller-coaster ride.

My second claim to fame was predicting that the Pennsylvania Senate race would be a sleeper, and while Casey will more than likely win, it's still much closer than anyone (Except me Wink) anticipated.

I suppose this can be my fourth, as I said Menendez before anyone else on here. Tongue That being said, this isn't as good as I thought it would be - unless it really breaks out and more details emerge, this'll have a moderate effect on Menendez (Put him around 55% instead of 60%), but shouldn't swing the race away from him.
