Would it be smart for Obama to start with an opening statement that contains some language around McCain's change of campaign tactics and mention that McCain will attempt more smearing tonight, but I (Obama) am going to stay above those tactics because the current economic conditions are too important to middle class families to focus on petty attacks....?

I sure hope he does it will take the air out of any attacks McCain has planned.

I've already said it once today, I have a dog in this race, but McCain is really bad in this format.  He's all over the place with his responses, he's fumbling through his gestures and his responses.

Obama isn't great so far, but he's at least collected.
