My Dad's parents were both raised as Chicago Democrats, but they switched over to the Republicans soon after they were married.  My Mom's Dad was a Republican.  Her Mom voted for Dewey in '48 and after feeling the disappointment of the stunning Truman upset, she never voted again, lol!

Mom and Dad, both Republicans, but voted for Anderson in '80 because they thought Reagan was an over-priviledged actor (now they think he's one of the greatest Presidents ever).

1976 Ford
1980 Anderson
1984 Reagan
1988 Bush
1992 Bush
1996 Dole
2000 Bush
2004 Bush
2008 McCain

My brother, a solid conservative Republican.

2004 Bush
2008 McCain

I was a registered independent from 2000-2008, before joining the Republican Party after the '08 elections.  I started out as a general conservative in the late '90s/early '00s, then became alienated and started heading leftward after the Iraq invasion before finally shifting towards civil libertarianism/paleoconservatism this year.
