Alaskans have enough signatures to put marijuana on the ballot. It's a matter of verification now.

Hopefully this can encourage the base to turn out for Begich too.

I don't think anyone ever considered Utah to be libertarian...it's very socially conservative. Maybe you were thinking of Wyoming?

Utah is very moralistic and socially conservative, but recently there have been a bunch of news stories about Mormon moms with kids that have painful disorders or illnesses (like epilepsy) that need to get medicinal marijuana to ease their kids pain/upset digestive systems. Specifically, a couple of Utah lawmakers have promoted a individual strain of marijuana that's strong enough to help the kids, but not enough to get them high.

Utah is in no way libertarian.

Utah has legalized a specific extract of marijuana (or more specifically, cannabis oil that doesn't make someone high) to be used for epilepsy patients. No production of medical marijuana, or legalization of any other forms of marijuana, but it's a start.
