The sad thing to report is that from my limited knowledge on human rights laws, Hitchens' case here is pretty watertight, and by now some of the supposed "Conspiracy theories" are now undoubted facts - such as Richard Nixon using Kissinger (and others) as an intermeditary to break up the Paris Peace talks in order to get himself elected.

In my opinion, a worthy guide to eight of the vilest years in America's foreign policy - though there many things omitted - and build's up a compelling case that this former US Sec. of State was an undoubted war criminal - under Nuremburg standards.

Anyone else read it? Opinions?

Sadly Hitchens is just as much of a Horrible Person as Kissinger is.

In his principles, yes..

Neo-Cons, like Hitchens, hate Kissinger.. His foreign policy was essentially amoral (as in not picking his allies on the basis of moral judgements) and when he caused lots of people to die he didn't justify it in terms of promoting ideals like democracy or world revolution..

Hitchens, as a (former?) Trotskyist, loves mass murder as long as its part of a sacrifice in the name of some great cause..
