Yes, I read RedState now. Like Jane Goodall ventured into the jungles to live among the gorillas and learn their ways, we must descend into the den of the teabaggers to find out how this primary is going to go down. But anyway, says Erick Erickson:

A little too "black helicopter" for me, but if true and successful, would be EPIC AWSOMEZ.

If this is true and the convention becomes deadlocked.  It would be AWESOME beyond words.

I understand it is all completely legal, but would the Republican Party accept that?

I doubt the campaign would set this up, but this sounds exactly like something Ron Paul supporters would do.

Can you imagine the Paultard outrage if they thought Mitt Romney was doing something like this?

Aye, I heard Erickson saying this exact thing on his radio show yesterday.

Paul's campaign has also worked hard to put people in state parties where they'll have sway in deciding delegate apportionment- in Iowa, for example, his people are planning to use the district caucuses to win a few more delegates that "should" be going to Santorum.

Of course, even if the convention is decided on the first vote, the shadow-Paul delegates will still be effectively his when it comes to deciding things like the national platform, or whether Ron Paul gets a prominent speaking slot at the convention. Honestly, I think Paul's campaign is as much about winning party influence as it is about the actual Presidential election. I wouldn't be surprised to see a bit of a libertarian shift be forced on the GOP at the convention, regardless of who wins.

Here is an article that does a pretty good job at describing the Paul campaign's intense focus on delegate math.

The weird part is that it involves Ron Paul supporters coming out of black helicopters.

If this does come to fruition, people should be made to bear the consequences.

I really feel like this should be resolved with some people getting shot.

If this does come to fruition, people should be made to bear the consequences.
Why?  This is brilliant.

A successful entryist effort would be the most interesting thing to happen to this country in years.

This would be fun but it's still more proof that Paulists are disturbing cultists who don't care about democracy.

Can you imagine the Paultard outrage if they thought Mitt Romney was doing something like this?

The internet would implode under the weight of countless Youtube comments along the lines of "it's 1984 in America maaaaaaan!" and "Wake up people!".

Also, this -

I'd love it if Romney had to beat Paul by literally stealing his delegates. It would say something good about the common American, at least, and something good about the way America is headed.

I'd be happy with either happening, though. I'm in the Paul camp more for the ideology than anything else.

I guess the closest semi-modern equivalent would be the '68 convention, when apparently a bunch of Nixon delegates were planning to switch to Reagan if Nixon didn't get a majority on the first ballot.

Yeah, for how principled Paul is, hus supporters are often hypocrites.  Just the other day, when I confronted some of them about bomb rating Mark Levin's book because it makes them look childish, they defended it saying they knew hed react by getting pissed and then linked to an out of context clip from his show.
