KY was also won by Bill Clinton and McConnell has worn out his welcome in KY being a two time Senate maj leader loser. In mid terms, as opposed to 2016 the Senate doesn't have to follow the prez map. We can have 52 or 53 votes if we still hold the Maj.

Which happened almost 20 years ago and is, therefore, irrelevant.
