Hrrm. I hope the timeline won't be a total Republican-lovefest. It would be a shame - I like the detail.
I don't think it's turning into a GOP wank quite yet. It's a good timeline, just have a few issues with it:
- I could see Manchin cross-endorsing, but Graham and Bayh would never endorse Christie over Cuomo. Cuomo's fairly centrist/moderate heroish himself, plus all three of them are New Democrats. Two of the party's founders would never betray one of their own.
- You only briefly go over two races (and don't even tell us how one turns out) for Senate. I'd like to see more of it - I'm wondering if Christie's moderate credentials could carry a few purple staters and even Kirk.
- Just a few leadership issues. Blackburn would never ascend to Speakership - McCarthy's seen as the heir apparent, and if they want a woman, they have McMorris Rodgers, who already beat her for a leadership post. I have a bit of trouble seeing the Dems nominate McCaskill, who's arguably the most vulnerable Senator in 2018.
