Hi thanks Yankee- I'll type up more on this tomorrow but Naloxone is a drug (often used as a naval spray) that is used to treat those suffering from opioid overdoses. It's used in an emergency situation & can make a life saving difference.
The list also isn't exhaustive- so I'm very open to amendments or improvements to this bill.
So I got the idea for this bill after amending the other opioid related bill- the idea is to allow for much more widespread access & use for Naloxone- which can prevent death from drug overdoses if it's administered quickly.
In RL a lot of public focused areas have begun to allow for Naloxone to be available; some of this is by charities, others are by state governments- in the broader sense I this in same way as how in the UK we have defibrillators at train stations, supermarkets etc. It's a pretty small step that could make a huge difference & could save people's lives.
I focused the bill on allowing for physical spaces first but am open to expanding it so that serving federal law enforcement officials and others can carry Naloxone.
