Prediction: It won't matter in the general. Moderate hero Phil Scott will crush him. Go Phil! I see Zuckerman as future senator though.

A little off topic, but are there any attempts to have four year terms? Two years is ridiculously short for a chief-executive, regardless of how "small" the state is. I really wonder why Vermont and New Hampshire don't change their laws? Virginia should also get rid of the one term limit. Both are relics from the 19th century.

I'm surprised Phil has not drawn a serious primary challenger. In 2018, Charlie Baker just won with 64% in the Republican primary against an unknown right-wing pastor. That's less than his vote share in the general election.

Has Scott already decided to run again?

Vermont and New Hampshire should really switch to four year terms for their governors.

According to CNN, King Scott is at 72%, even topping his 2022 performance. Vermont at this point should just suspend gubernatorial elections and declare Scott EMPEROR FOR LIFE.

https://www.wcax.com/2024/04/26/howard-dean-reportedly-exploring-2nd-bid-vt-governor/

Howard Dean exploring 2nd bit for Governor. I've heard this rumor via a friend as well. Unbelievable if true. Probably the one man who could beat Phil Scott other than Sanders or Welch. I can't really believe it.

I doubt he runs, but Emperor Scott remains favored. Best case is a similae result as 2016 or 2018. So far, Scott has won every election with a bigger margin.
