Actually, I have a question. Since you said you are combining areas  with similar cultures and demographics, why are Portland and Seattle two separate states? I don't think combining them would make the state too big.

Although TBH, I'm not sure it will. I guess it depends on where exactly the line is, but Antonio also did an alternate state series and IRRC his upstate New York state was just barley Democratic.
