While there's undoubtedly great diversity amongst black Republicans, they generally wear glasses, have mustaches, wear brown leather jackets, and have a white wife.

Tim Scott doesn't wear glasses or have a mustache. Will Hurd also doesn't have a mustache. Michael Steele is the only prominent black Republican I know of who fits your description - I guess that's where you got it from.
