IIRC, Pompeo is generally regarded as unlikable. Tiahrt has a good shot.

Precisely. Pompeo is going to have an opening by criticizing Tiahrt for running in the first place, as Tiahrt was a vocal supporter of Pompeo in both 2010 and 2012. Ultimately though, Tiahrt is very well-liked in this district and is going to have a lot of folks in the district eager to help him out.

Tiahrt's performance in his district against Moran was strong. I could see him pulling this off between now and the August primary.
