If FDR hadn't had the stroke which killed him and his health stayed relatively neutral, do you think he would've run for a fifth term in 1948 and if so, would he have won?

Do we have any alternate history scenarios of an FDR 5th term from 1949-1953?

I'm doubtful he would have run for a fifth term, and if he had, he would have lost.  FDR would not have dealt with a Republican Congress as well as Truman had and Dewey would not have relented in his campaign against FDR as he did against Truman.  It's also doubtful Truman would have headed the ticket either.  Dewey (R) v. Eisenhower (D) is a possibility.

Leaving aside the impossibility that his health would remain anything close to neutral... no. He'd be lucky to make it past 1946, much less finish that term. Handwaving the answer is an absolute no.

He wanted to retire in 1940 and 1944. But both times World War II made that impossible. By 1948 that problem was gone.
