MIAMI — Sen. Marco Rubio is ahead of Democratic Rep. Patrick Murphy by 2 points in the U.S. Senate race, according to an internal poll of likely Florida voters that the challenger’s campaign paid for and sent to donors.

Rubio’s 47-45 percent lead is buoyed by his higher name ID, solid GOP backing and the support of Hispanics voters, according to the polling memo from Global Strategy Group.

In the presidential race, Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump 46-43 percent in Florida, according to the poll of 800 likely voters. It has an error-margin of 3.5 points.

The only valuable kind of internal poll is when a candidate releases a poll they're losing in, with numbers showing that they "can win" or some shtick. That means they're losing and in danger of being written off.

He's more likely leading by 5 points right now. I still think he's going to lose in the end.

If this was the internal for the senate candidate in Arkansas, it would be great news for D's. But in a swing state, it's a sign the race is likely over. Congrats Rubio.

Meanwhile, In Reality Land, Dems are struggling to even obtain a 50-50 "Manchin Majority", which only requires winning 5 of their 6 most favorable races - IL/WI/NV/PA/IN/NH.

This poll is flawless? That means Rubio actually is only two points ahead. I can live with that. Smiley

Glad that flawless beautiful Marco Rubio is beating wreckless ugly Patrick Murphy in his own poll.

Flawless because of Murphy can't find himself ahead in HIS OWN poll, he's in trouble.

FL always have big leads for the favorite and when election time comes, it comes down to a close race(Crist was 6 pts ahead and lost)

FL isnt needed to clinch the presidential race, but Latinos may find it easier to vote for Clinton-Murphy 😂since Rubio says he may not finish his term and run for PREZ in 2020. I am going for Murphy.

Rubio isn't Trump. Can't use the "Republicans are racist" chant when the Republican is a minority as it will backfire. Then you have the Florida Dems as incompetent outside of Nelson.

Rubio is a vapid buffoon who repeatedly humiliated himself in the context of a high-profile national campaign, to the point of losing the FL primary in a landslide. He was one of the least active Senator and his issue views are far too right-wing for Florida. It makes sense that he won a bare majority in 2010, but he should be going down in flames now.

Forgot to add this to my last comment, I still think Missouri is a better bet for Dems than Florida.
