I have the photocopyed stuff from both states as well. I forget the name of the book with this stuff in it, but it has "Harding to Eisenhower" in the title.

Here's the maps, Hoover v. Smith:





I should get my scanner working again so I can post the photocopies, but I sense that if I typed in the results, then it would take awhile, with Texas having 254 counties and all.

Smith even lost counties in Mississippi (George, Pearl River and Stone county)

The one problem with the Texas stats is that they don't specify between William Foster (Communist candidate) and Norman Thomas (Socialist candidate).

And I had to photocopy 5 pages for the Texas results too.

I think Texas, Arkansas, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia and Virginia are the only missing states county-map wise for 1928.
