These things are generally not true and it is April 1st. Has Tender been away for a week without notice before? I feel like he's always here.

A pretty likely possibility is of course that someone else noticed Tender's absence and did this as a joke.

I noticed this. It doesn't say that much though - if the story was real it'd make sense that this friend would not be an expert on his Atlas name. Of course it also chimes well with some troll pulling this prank.
