I know that clarence has been long bothered by me posting that Family Guy clip, but I'm a little surprised Nix agrees with him. I'll also just say that I find it amusing to call someone who worked 55 hours last week "lazy".

If that is the case- I am happy to withdraw my accusation of laziness...

Also- while I was very offended by you posting that clip, you apologized for it and I am not one to reject an apology if done in good faith- which yours was. My issues with you extend far beyond that one incident and deal primarily with your black and white view of the world and your willful inability to relate to any one not in complete agreement with you

Complete agreement isn't necessary. It's not as bad as that. (Though he tends to pretend to himself that the people he approves of are more alike him than they are.)

BRTD represents one of the ugliest aspect of humanity better than most people I've met - the mob mentality. He divides people into his team and the other team and then cheers for his team regardless of what they do or what makes sense. If someone dares to befriend the other team they're an enemy.

And, of course, he picks his team arbitrarily based on whether it has flair and is cool.

Personally, I find that whole concept to be pretty awful. But other people who dislike thinking seem to like it.

I'll add that the turning of real people into mascots, which seems to have become a common thing on here, is a bit unpleasant as well. You should treat people with enough respect to tell them to stfu.

I wasn't referring to you at all. Rather Gustaf's bit about how I divide everyone based on if they're "cool". Since I was a fan of jmfcst and defended him after banning despite the fact that he hardly fits my definition of "cool".

I'll admit I do the separation of people a lot, but I don't see how that's uncommon, especially for hardcore partisans.

I tell ya'll what, I think BRTD is getting a lot of flack lately and I don't really think its good for us. At the very least, he has ton of knowledge about Minnesota. Do I disagree with him on some things? Yes. Does that mean I consider him an HP? No.

I'm fine with BRTD. You take people as you find them, and he contributes a lot to the forum, and who isn't to some degree eccentric around here?  And hard as this may be for some to believe, I think over time he is in fact "maturing."  There is nothing wrong in taking your time about it. I'm sure there has been more than one. Since he takes every chance to attack me in his ridiculous ways I keep having to defend myself against him, but it's damn tedious.

He has this habit of spreading lies about me (and others) which I suspect sticks eventually unless I refute them.
