Considering literally everything Michelle Obama has said about having any further involvement in electoral politics, if Barack actually did run for office again, he'd have to balance campaigning with divorce proceedings.

Fascinated by the takes that Chicago is doomed because they voted for a new mayor. Even if his policies were destined to be destructive, how often do big city mayors (or any executives, really) actually get their entire platform enacted? If I didn't know better, I'd think that people can only imagine cities in perpetual states of collapse.

Sure, our policies are terrible, but enough of your guys got elected that we won't destroy the city. We'll keep trying, don't worry.

I quite intentionally never even implied that I supported Johnson. I'm just fascinated by the belief that one's political enemies are somehow both deeply incompetent and extremely effective.

Effectively implementing bad policies is not a good idea.

I just think it's a fascinating reaction that's been well-observed before, and is in full force among the Vallas supporters here tonight. I don't have any hot takes about policy or anything.

Is there an internet maxim for how long an argument has to go on before someone begins to talk like a eugenicist?

Eugenics is when you think that people who pay a lot of taxes subsidize people who don't pay a lot of taxes.

What comment do you think I was responding to?
