So now with the Bentley debacle at a close, who will be the GOP nominee for governor next year?

If Ivey wants it, it's hers, but she reeks of caretaker.

What makes you say she's a caretaker? from what I've read she's very well liked in Montgomery and I don't see any reason why she wouldnt run for a full term.

I said she just gives the vibes of one. I have no doubt she's at least thinking of it, and probably was as early as Bentley's reelection.

Kay Ivey is now the favorite if she runs, but she's not that that far ahead.

There will be at least one serious challenger. Yes, I'd even consider Roy Moore to be serious.

Who would be the best Democrat that could run? Yes I know they have no chance, but for a successful party we need someone to run in every single major contest nationwide.

AL-GOV 2018 nominees:

Republicans: Cam Ward, low-key Republican state senator.
Democrats: Craig Ford, Alabama House Minority Leader

Democrats would be better off with Siegelman or Maddox running, but they look like they may not run in 2018.
