Only declarations of candidacy here, please. If you want to comment on something, do it elsewhere.

I don't want to be a party pooper, but since jerry has not yet withdrawn officially, and since he did not win the Federalist primary, he will not have the endorsement of the party for the special election. I believe parties do have the right to make this indication to the SoFE, so here I am.

Again, I hate to have to do it. Tongue

Thanks homely.

How do I indicate his candidacy affiliation on the ballot? He isn't registered as an independent, and I don't know if he would want to be listed as such anyway.

If he'd drop out officially it would make things easier.

Indeed it did!

Wanted to repost that I'm running for Northeast Governor...

...but more importantly, is clarence going to remain on the ballot for President?

No. He no longer has a running mate.

I will NOT be running for VP of Atlasia.

I'm staying in the Mideast senate race but as an Independant

Unless you re-register as an Independent (which you certainly could do for the few days during which the election occurs), you will either be listed as an "Unaffiliated Candidate" if the Federalist Party decides to prevent you from using the party name on the ballot, or as a Federalist Party candidate if it doesn't.

I will be running for At-Large Senate next weekend as well.

Do you refer to the special election this weekend?

I can't accept your write-in votes unless you have a running mate.

It's perhaps not the best idea, but let me give this at-large thing another shot. Tongue

On second thought, I'll give it some rest.

Are you withdrawing your candidacy, Simfan?

I'd like to remind everyone that every candidate must declare in this thread that they are running for whichever office they seek. This includes vice presidential candidates; it is not enough for your running mate to declare for you. You must declare your own intentions.

This running mate of yours has less than four hours in which to declare his candidacy. You can change running mates until Monday night if your declared running mate leaves the ticket, however.

Wow. I guess I've been misinterpreting that law all those years. I've always set the deadline for candidacy declarations for Senate elections to be 00:00, Thursday.

The election has always begun 00:00 on a Friday, so it made sense for the deadline to be 24 hours before the actual beginning of the election. I prefer to do that rather than set the deadline to be 24 hours before the theoretically-possible-but-inconceivable start time of 00:00 Thursday.

I will put them on the ballot. This is the way I've always done it and it's what people expect: inclusion over exclusion.
